🌟💖 STAR PLAYERS | DC WILDCATS 9–12 GROUP – FUTSAL 💜⚽
A huge well done to our DC Wildcats 9–12 Stars of the Week! 👏
This week, the girls had another great opportunity to develop their Futsal skills, working in a fast-paced environment that challenged their technique, movement and decision-making.
The session focused on dribbling and shielding, with the girls encouraged to keep their heads up, protect the ball and stay positive in possession.
They also worked on physical literacy and ball control, including movement in different directions, lots of touches on the ball and the lateral roll, helping them improve control, feints and shielding technique.
The girls then developed their passing range, working with both feet and focusing on good technique, balance and control before progressing into longer passing.
We finished with Futsal Small-Sided Games, giving the girls the chance to put everything into practice, rotate through different positions and continue developing their attacking and defending understanding.
⭐ Our Stars of the Week stood out for their effort, attitude, confidence and application, and they should be very proud of themselves.
Futsal continues to be a really important part of our player development programme, and it is fantastic to see the girls becoming more confident, composed and technically comfortable every time they step onto the court.
Parents, please help us celebrate this week’s Stars of the Week! 🙌💖⚽

🌟🧡 STARS OF THE WEEK | DC UNDER 7 & 8 GROUP 🧡⚽
A huge well done to our DC Under 7 & 8 Stars of the Week! 👏
The players put in another excellent session, showing great energy, confidence and enthusiasm throughout. It is brilliant to see how much this group is progressing, both technically and in their understanding of the game.
Our Stars of the Week really stood out for their effort, attitude and application, and they should be very proud of themselves. ⭐
We only managed to get a photo of one of this week’s winners, the others were so excited to tell their parents they had won that they ran off before we could grab a picture! 😄👏
That probably says everything about how much these awards mean to the players.
A massive well done to all of our winners, and to the whole group for another really positive week.
Parents, please help us celebrate all of this week’s Stars of the Week! 🙌🧡⚽

🔥🧡 STARS OF THE WEEK | DC UNDER 6 GROUPS 🧡🔥
Another brilliant session from our DC Under 6 Groups, with the players showing fantastic energy, confidence and enthusiasm throughout! ⚽👏
This week’s session had a strong focus on Ball Control, starting with some fundamental movement work to develop balance, coordination, agility and movement in different directions.
The players then moved into Ball Mastery, working on inside touches, heel & toe, outside touches, toe taps, inside/outside movements and sole rollovers. A big focus was on using both feet and becoming more comfortable manipulating the ball in different ways.
We also introduced the Step Over, helping the players understand how to use the move to get past an opponent and turn away from danger. It was brilliant to see so many of them giving it a go on both their right and left side.
The Splat game was a real highlight! 🔥
The players worked on shielding, turning and protecting the ball, learning to get side-on, use their body well and then escape into space rather than just standing still.
We finished with more 3v3 Small-Sided Games, giving the players the chance to put everything into practice and continue developing their understanding of attacking, defending and team shape.
⭐ A huge congratulations to our Stars of the Week, who stood out for their effort, attitude, confidence and willingness to learn.
The progress across the Under 6 groups continues to be fantastic to see, they are building strong foundations and becoming more confident on the ball every week.
Parents help us celebrate this week’s Stars of the Week! 🙌🧡⚽

🌟💖 STAR PLAYERS | DC WILDCATS U8 GROUP 💜⚽
A huge well done to our DC Wildcats U8 Stars of the Week! 👏
The girls produced another excellent session, showing great energy, confidence and enthusiasm throughout.
This group now has a really important focus by learning to become a team. Alongside developing individual skills, we are putting more emphasis on communication, supporting teammates, understanding positions and making good decisions together.
The girls are working hard on ball mastery, dribbling, movement and decision-making, but we are also encouraging them to recognise when to pass, when to move into space and how to help each other in both attacking and defending situations.
This is all part of the bigger picture, as we continue building towards this group progressing into Stotfold Juniors as an Under 9 team next season. 💖⚽
It is fantastic to see the girls beginning to develop that team identity already, and the progress in their confidence, understanding and togetherness is really encouraging.
⭐ Our Stars of the Week stood out for their effort, attitude, teamwork and application, and they should be very proud of themselves.
A huge well done to the whole group, what an exciting journey is ahead for these girls! 💜
Parents, help us celebrate this week’s Stars of the Week! 🙌⭐
